Fire Wine at the Territory and Resilience. Forum on Good Agricultural and Forestry Practices

Fire Wine will take part on 16 and 17 May in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia in the Territory and Resilience: Forum on Good Agricultural and Forestry Practices, a meeting point for pioneering projects working to adapt the Mediterranean landscape to the challenges of climate change. The forum, held at the Celler de la Fassina de Can Guineu (Cava Centre of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia), aims to showcase the initiatives and solutions being developed across the region to move toward more climate-resilient landscapes.

As an innovative project that brings together viticulture, ecology, and fire management from a regenerative perspective, Fire Wine will present the results of research carried out over the past few months. These findings suggest that managing the interface between forest and vineyard farmland can help reduce wildfire risk and slow the spread of fire.

40 initiatives and solutions

The Life eCOadapt50 and ResAlliance projects have joined forces, along with other organisations such as the Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia (CTFC), to organise this two-day event. Around 40 initiatives and solutions will be presented, and participants will have the chance to interact directly and dynamically with the project leaders to get a close-up view of the proposals.
