THE CLIMAVIT21 PROJECT OPENS THE DOOR TO INTEGRATED TOOLS FOR VINEYARDS

The CLIMAVIT21 project was conceived as an integrated tool for vineyards in the region, with the aim of providing objective data to serve as a lever for change in adapting viticulture to climate change throughout the 21st century.

In this video, you’ll discover the characteristics of the vineyards within the Empordà Designation of Origin and the challenges posed by climate change in the area, through the insights of IRTA researchers Robert Savé and Xavier Aranda. This initiative is part of the demonstration activity: "Agrometeorology as a starting point for stable and quality wine production under climate change conditions in the 21st century. CLIMAVIT21", funded through Operation 01.02.01 (technology transfer) of the Rural Development Programme (PDR) of Catalonia 2014–2020.
